Born in the Wild, Built for the Wild.
We didn't start Tentasy in a boardroom. We started it at 5am, in an open jeep, watching a tigress lead her cubs across a forest track — and knowing that more people needed to feel exactly this.
WHY WE STARTED TENTASY
Tentasy began as a shared obsession. A group of wildlife photographers, naturalists and off-road drivers who kept bumping into each other at forest gate queues across South India — and eventually decided to do something together. We founded ABC Outdoor Ventures Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru with one clear goal: to create the wildlife tourism experience we always wished existed.
What we found missing wasn’t adventure — India has no shortage of that. What was missing was depth. Most wildlife tours treated animals as props. We wanted to build expeditions that created genuine understanding: of ecosystems, of conservation challenges, of what it actually means to share a planet with a wild tiger.
Today, Tentasy runs expeditions across 15+ reserves in India and Sri Lanka. We work with a small, expert team of naturalists and we keep our groups intentionally small. We’ve watched our travellers come back changed — quieter, more observant, more in love with the natural world. That’s the only metric that matters to us.

Surya Veloor Sundar
Founder & Lead Naturalist
A wildlife photographer and naturalist with 12+ years across South Indian forests. Surya leads all photography expeditions and Indian safari circuits. His deep knowledge of big cat behaviour has resulted in sightings most guides can only dream of.
Karthikeyan Sathyaseelan
Operations & Overlanding Lead
Karthik has driven over 80,000 km across India’s most challenging terrain — from Himalayan snowfields to Western Ghat jungle tracks. He plans and leads all overlanding circuits with an obsession for both safety and adventure.
Michael John
Wildlife Guide & Educator
Michael is a certified naturalist educator who leads our Sri Lanka circuits and co-leads photography workshops. His background in conservation biology brings a scientific depth to every expedition — and his calm in the field is absolutely infectious.
